Meet our licensed insolvency practitioners

Every practitioner is ICAEW-licensed and based at our Manchester office. When you call, you speak directly with an expert, not a call centre.

Why a licensed practitioner matters.

Insolvency is one of the few areas of business advice where key appointments can only legally be taken by a licensed professional. The licence brings a framework that protects you, and none of it applies to the unregulated advisers who operate around the industry's edges.

Qualification and authority

Only a licensed practitioner can be appointed as liquidator, administrator, or supervisor of a CVA or IVA. Licensing requires rigorous examinations and supervised experience.

Bonding and protection

Every appointment carries mandatory bonding, insurance, and regulatory monitoring, so your interests are protected at every stage of the process.

Accountability and complaints

A formal complaints process and professional ethics code apply, including the duty to advise on all your options, not just the profitable ones.

Verifiable on the register

Every licence can be checked on the Insolvency Service's free public register. We'd encourage you to verify ours, and anyone else you're considering.

How to spot unqualified advice

  • !You can never speak to the named, licensed practitioner, only "advisers"
  • !Fees are quoted before anyone asks about your company
  • !The website names no licensed individuals at all
  • !Outcomes are promised, such as "write off your debts" or "guaranteed", that no regulated professional could promise
  • !Pressure to sign quickly, before you've had time to think

The test is simple: ask whether you're speaking to a named, licensed insolvency practitioner, and check them on the register. With us, you are, from the first call.

Every client receives

  • A free, confidential initial consultation
  • Advice from a licensed practitioner, not a salesperson
  • Clear, written fees before any commitment
  • Honest advice about whether rescue or closure is right
  • Support throughout, explained in plain English

Our approach to insolvency advice.

Facing financial difficulty is stressful enough; the advice you receive should make things clearer, not more confusing.

Honest advice

We tell you the truth, even when it's not what you want to hear. If your business can be rescued, we'll tell you how. If it can't, we'll help you close it in a way that protects you as a director.

Direct access to a practitioner

When you call, you speak to a licensed insolvency practitioner, not a call centre, not a salesperson, not a lead-generation service.

Clear, transparent fees

A clear, written estimate of any costs before you commit: what's included, what's charged separately, and what happens if assets realise less than expected.

Support throughout

We explain every step in plain English, answer your questions patiently, and handle your case with discretion and respect.
